The Hill House Farm cookery school
Our cookery school is held in
the farmhouse kitchen of Hill House Farm home of the
Hill Farm herd of Pure Aberdeen Angus cattle nestling
in the beautiful Norfolk countryside.
Just a few miles south of
Norwich, very close to the A11 and within easy striking
distance of Bury St Edmunds, Cambridge, Newmarket and
even London Hill House Farm makes a perfect and relaxing
venue for the school.
Ian McAndrew Author and
Michelin Starred chef has teamed up with Mary Kemp to
bring you a series of cookery demonstrations to supplement
those that Mary already runs in her beautiful farmhouse
kitchen.
The day begins with coffee
and the chance to meet your fellow students at 10.30am
before gathering in the kitchen at 11am to watch a demonstration
of dishes by Ian, some he has become famous for over
the years as well as new ideas. Ian will demonstrate
between 5 and 7 dishes before you sit down to lunch
in the beautiful conservatory. The lunch will incorporate
at least one of the dishes Ian has demonstrated that
morning.
Lunch is then either followed
by a tutored cheese and wine tasting or you will be
tutored throughout your meal on the selection of wines
served to you with lunch by the award winning master
of wine Keith Reeves of Weavers Way Wines.
There will then be a chance
to purchase essential supplies for the kitchen and cellar,
we have an extensive collection of cookware for sale
and Keith will have cases of the wines served for sale
too. |
