If you feel the need for more in depth tuition this can be arranged for you in your own home, be it on a one to one basis or a small group if like minded friends. The theme of these days can be totally of your choosing.
This sort of session in the comfort of your own home can be so much more rewarding than attending group classes. You learn what you want to learn and at a pace you are comfortable with.

‘Primarily because this was a personalised, tailor made course in my own house and fitted in well with my schedule. Ian was extremely pleasant to work with and managed to keep me focused on the programme when it would have been easy to chat about all the interesting things he has done and not learn anything!
Ian was good company and although a lot was spent on the training, we did manage to fit in a bit of more general discussion about food, catering and the restaurant business.
Even for someone that cooks a lot at home, I would definitely recommend learning more formal cookery techniques to improve your range of menus, to add extra flavours and finishing touches to dishes. I found that just learning basic cutting techniques and which knife to use for what has helped with the look of the food and the reduced number of plasters I use.
After we had finished the dishes, I had a small taste, my wife then came into the kitchen, by the time I had said goodbye to Ian the plates were clean- a great testament to teacher and I like to think also to the pupil.’ |
